Srinagar, July 8 (JKNS): A residential house was damaged in a fire incident that broke out during the intervening night of July 7 and 8 at Hardu Shichen area of Dialgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the fire erupted in the residential house of Nazir Ahmad Khan, son of Abdul Gani Khan, resulting in damage to the structure.
They said the fire was brought under control by personnel of the Fire and Emergency Services with the assistance of local residents, preventing it from spreading to nearby houses.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the fire was caused by a short circuit, though the exact cause is being ascertained.
No loss of life or injuries were reported in the incident, officials added. (JKNS)
