DODA, JUNE 21; District Development Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma, today said that the age appropriate vaccination for 45 year and above and 18 year and above is in full swing in the district.
Briefing the media about Covid-19 scenario, he informed that the positivity rate is on a continuous decline with only 722 active cases in the district. He said the Covid-19 restrictions are being gradually eased, but it also demands strict observance of Covid-19 appropriate behavior. He said the enforcement teams are vigorously enforcing the SOPs to prevent the future spread of infection.
He further said that Government has formally launched free vaccination for 18 year and above age group and the targeted population is responding overwhelmingly. He appealed to the left out 45 year and above persons to come out for vaccination, as vaccination is the only protection available to counter Coronavirus.
While talking about oxygen generation and availability, he said that 1500 LPM Oxygen Generation capacity at GMCH Doda shall be further augmented by 1000 LPM plant. He said the Doda GMC is self reliant in terms of Oxygen Generation and soon the CHC Bhaderwah and Gandoh shall have their own oxygen generation plants.
