Shopian, June 30 (JKNS): A 75-year-old man died after sustaining critical injuries in a road accident at DK Pora in the Imam Sahib area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday evening, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS said that the deceased has been identified as 75-year-old, Ghulam Hassan Ganie, son of Mohammad Abdullah Ganie, a resident of DK Pora, Imam Sahib.
He sustained grievous injuries after being hit by a vehicle during the evening hours and was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Officials said the driver of the vehicle accompanied the injured to the hospital before returning from there.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further legal proceedings. (JKNS)
