Participants emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting Abhinavagupta’s intellectual and philosophical heritage for future generations.

They noted that his works continue to inspire scholars, spiritual seekers, and students of philosophy across the globe.

According to traditional accounts, the sacred Bhairav Cave holds special significance in the life of Abhinavagupta. It is believed that he entered the cave along with nearly 1,200 disciples and followers and was never seen again, making the site one of the most revered places associated with his spiritual journey and mystical legacy.

Addressing the gathering, social activist Javid Beghi spoke about Kashmir’s rich spiritual, intellectual, and cultural traditions.

He stressed the need to preserve the Valley’s centuries-old legacy of wisdom, spirituality, and communal harmony, describing Abhinavagupta as one of the greatest intellectual figures in Kashmir’s history.

The event was organized with the active support of the Tehsil Administration Beerwah, Municipal Committee Beerwah, and other local institutions. Tehsildar Beerwah Ms. Aaliya Tabassum and DYSP Probationer Beerwah Moin Khan personally supervised the arrangements and ensured the smooth and peaceful conduct of the programme.

Participants appreciated the efforts of Beerwah Police for maintaining law and order and extending full cooperation throughout the event. Local residents of Beerwah also displayed exceptional hospitality and support, contributing significantly to the success of the commemorative gathering.

Several senior citizens expressed happiness and satisfaction over the visit of Kashmiri Pandits to Beerwah and their participation in the event, describing it as a positive step toward preserving Kashmir’s shared cultural and spiritual heritage.

At the conclusion of the programme, devotees reaffirmed their commitment to preserving Abhinavagupta’s teachings and spreading awareness about his philosophical, spiritual, and cultural contributions.
