Uri, Jun 21 (JKNS): A father and son lost their lives in a tragic road accident at Rajarwani area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district after an Alto car they were travelling in met with an accident on Sunday.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS that an Alto K10 vehicle bearing registration number JK05Q-4298 met with an accident at Rajarwani, resulting in the death of the driver, Syed Imtiyaz Hussain Shah (25), son of Syed Ahmad Shah, who died on the spot.
They said his father, Syed Ahmad Shah (68), son of Syed Alam Hussain Shah and a retired Sub-Inspector of Police, had sustained critical injuries in the accident and was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Uri for treatment.
However, the retired police officer later succumbed to his injuries, taking the death toll in the accident to two.
Polive have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation initiated. (JKNS)
