Srinagar, June 17 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic road accident in Pahalgam that claimed two lives and left six others injured.

According to the Office of the Chief Minister, as per news agency JKNS, CM Omar conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for strength and courage for them during this difficult time.

 

The Chief Minister also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and directed the concerned authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment for those undergoing treatment.

 

He further instructed officials to provide all necessary assistance and support to the affected families.

 

The accident occurred in the Aru area of Pahalgam, where a vehicle reportedly plunged into a gorge near the Lidder River, resulting in the deaths of two persons and injuries to six others. (JKNS)
