Srinagar, June 6 (JKNS): A 21-year-old student pursuing Veterinary Science at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) died after suffering a suspected heart attack in a rented room in Srinagar on Saturday, officials said.
Details available with news agency JKNS stated that the deceased has been identified as Tahseen Shabir Raina, son of Shabir Ahmad Raina, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, and a resident of Kanir Chadoora, Budgam.
Tahseen was a second-year Veterinary Science student at SKUAST. He reportedly suffered a suspected cardiac arrest at his rented accommodation located at Al Samad Complex, opposite SKUAST University, Shuhama.
He was shifted for medical attention; however, he could not be revived, officials said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings to ascertain the exact cause of death.
The sudden demise of the young student has cast a pall of gloom over his family, friends, fellow students, and the university community.
