Two Injured in Fire at Thermocol Factory in Rangrait, Hospitalized

Srinagar, Mar 27 (JKNS): Two persons were injured during a fire at a thermocol factory, Comfort Polymers, located on Old Airport Road, Rangrait, and were Hospitalized, officials said on Friday.

An official told news agency JKNS, that the incident prompted an immediate response from local fire and rescue teams and the fire was contained.

Injured person was identified as 29-year-old, resident of Shangus, Nowgam, sustained burn injuries while working inside the factory. His condition has been reported as stable, official said.

Another a fire service personnel, of Fire Station Rangrait, was shifted to SMHS Hospital after suffering from suffocation while extinguishing the fire. His condition is currently stable as well, the official added.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. (JKNS)
