Police said the hotel authorities neither informed Police Station Pahalgam nor submitted the mandatory Form ‘C’, thereby violating provisions of the Foreigners and Immigration Act, 2025 and compromising established security norms.

Following this, an FIR (No. 18/2026) under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Pahalgam and investigation has been taken up.

Police have urged all hotel operators to ensure strict compliance with rules regarding registration and reporting of foreign guests. (JKNS)
