LG Reviews Security Situation in Srinagar Amid Recent Protests

Srinagar, Mar 3 (JKNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday chaired a high-level security review meeting at Lok Bhavan, Srinagar, to assess the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of protests reported over the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

According to details shared by the LG’s Office, as per news agency JKNS, the meeting witnessed detailed deliberations on the current ground situation and preparedness of security agencies. Senior officials including Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, GoC-in-C Northern Command; DGP J&K Nalin Prabhat; Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, GoC 15 Corps; and Maj Gen Balbir Singh, MGGS Northern Command, were present during the review.

 

The discussions primarily focused on maintaining law and order, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and ensuring peace and stability across the Union Territory, officials said. (JKNS)
