New Delhi, Jan 28 (JKNS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday expressed profound grief over the tragic demise of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister and senior NDA leader, Ajit Pawar.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, Amit Shah said he was deeply pained by the news of Ajit Pawar’s death in a tragic incident.

He said that Ajit Pawar devoted more than three and a half decades of his life to the welfare of every section of society in Maharashtra, a contribution that cannot be described in words.

Amit Shah recalled that whenever they met, Ajit Pawar would engage in long discussions on several issues related to the welfare of the people of Maharashtra. He described Pawar’s passing as a personal loss for him and a significant loss for the entire NDA family.

The Home Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to the Pawar family and said that the entire NDA stands firmly with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. —(JKNS)
