PM Modi Expresses Grief Over Baramati Plane Crash, Pays Tribute to Ajit Pawar

New Delhi, Jan 28 (JKNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic aircraft crash in Baramati area of Maharashtra, which claimed the lives of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and four others.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS Prime Minister Modi said he was saddened by the tragic air crash in Baramati and extended his condolences to the families of the victims. “My thoughts are with all those who lost their loved ones in the crash. Praying for strength and courage for the bereaved families in this moment of profound grief,” the Prime Minister wrote.

In another post, the Prime Minister paid rich tributes to Ajit Pawar, describing him as a mass leader with a strong grassroots connect. He said Pawar was widely respected for his tireless work in serving the people of Maharashtra and noted his deep understanding of administrative matters and commitment towards empowering the poor and downtrodden. “His untimely demise is very shocking and saddening. Condolences to his family and countless admirers. Om Shanti,” PM Modi said.

Earlier, officials said that Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and four others lost their lives after an aircraft crash-landed in Baramati area of Pune district on Wednesday. Authorities have initiated necessary procedures, while further details regarding the incident are awaited. —(JKNS)
