The cancellation has come into force with immediate effect, as per the order issued on January 6, 2026.

To safeguard the interests of students already admitted for the current academic session, the NMC has authorised the concerned State/UT authorities to adjust these students in other government medical colleges within the Union Territory.

The students will be accommodated against supernumerary seats in accordance with prescribed norms.

The Commission reiterated that the action reflects its strict approach towards maintaining quality and compliance in medical education across the country. (JKNS)
