HM Amit Shah Chairs High-Level Meeting on J&K Security; Zero Tolerance Against Terror Emphasized

Srinagar, Oct 9 (JKNS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to review the overall security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources told news agency JKNS, the meeting was attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Director of Intelligence Bureau Tapan Deka, J&K Police Chief Nalin Prabhat, CRPF Director General G.P. Singh, BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chowdhary, and several senior officers from the Centre and the Union Territory.

Sources said that the discussions focused on the security situation in the Pir Panjal region as well as ongoing development projects across Jammu and Kashmir. Officials added that the previous high-level review meeting of this nature was held on September 1 under the chairmanship of the Home Minister.

Emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, Amit Shah directed all security agencies to operate with utmost vigilance and coordination to ensure complete eradication of terrorism from the region.

Sources further informed that operations to dismantle terrorist networks have been ongoing in J&K since the Pulagam terror attack in April, while the administration continues efforts to restore normalcy and revive tourism activities in the region. (JKNS)
