J&K Police Sees Major Reshuffle: IPS and JKPS Officers Transferred Across UT

Srinagar, Oct 9 (JKNS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday ordered transfers and postings of several IPS and JKPS officers with immediate effect, officials said.

In an order issued by the Principal Secretary to the Government as per news agency JKNS, the following changes were effected among IPS officers: Mr. Abdul Ghani Mir (AGMUT:1994) was posted as Commandant General, Home Guards, Civil Defence, SDRF, relieving Mr. Alok Kumar of additional charge. Mr. Mohd Yaseen Kichloo (AGMUT:2013) SSP CICE Jammu, was transferred as Principal STC Talwara, while Mr. Shobhit Saxena (AGMUT:2015) moved from SSP Kathua to SSP Security J&K. Ms. Tanushree (AGMUT:2017) has been posted as SSP Pulwama, Mr. Sahil Sarangal (AGMUT:2017) as SSP Handwara, Ms. Mohita Sharma (AGMUT:2017) as SSP Kathua, and Mr. Anayat Ali Choudhary (AGMUT:2017) as SSP Kulgam.

Among JKPS officers, Mr. Mohd Arif Rishu (JKPS:1999) has been posted as Director CTC Lethpora, Mr. Benam Tosh (JKPS:1999) as Deputy Director SKPA Udhampur, and Mr. Harmeet Singh Mehta (JKPS:2001) as Commandant 13 IR. Other postings include Mr. Javid Iqbal (AIG CT & Intelligence), Mr. Mohd Fiesel Qureshi (SSP FOW Jammu), Mr. Ramnish Gupta (SSP CICE Jammu), Mr. Aijaz Ahmed Zargar (SSP Bandipora), Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad (SSP Shopian), and several other officers assigned to Dy.CO and Addl. SP positions.

Officials said the transfers are aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and ensuring smooth functioning of policing and security operations across Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
