Srinagar, Jun 2: In a bid to come handy to authorities in their efforts to contain Covid-19 spread, Police Station Nehru park DO Ghulam Mustafa under the supervision here in summer-capital launched a mask distribution drive among the general public on Wednesday.
The drive being carried under the supervision of DO Ghulam Mustafa Nehru park have so far seen distribution of over a hundred masks among people including commuters and shopkeepers in and around the jurisdictions.
A police officer said that the drive has been necessitated by the recent unlocking process. “Gradual movement of public is being witnessed after the recent unlocking process”, he said adding the drive is aimed to assist the efforts of authorities to contain the deadly infection.
