Khyber Cement Sufi Safai Movement 2.0; Historic Mega Cleanliness Drive Held at Shehr-e-Khaas, Maharaj Gunj,Srinagar

Srinagar, Sept 13 (JKNS): The historic Maharaj Gunj area of Shehr-e-Khaas on Friday witnessed a large-scale cleanliness drive under the banner of Sufi Safai Movement 2.0, an initiative supported by Khyber Cement in collaboration with Rampage Digital.

The event marked a historic moment in Srinagar’s environmental awakening, drawing participation from over 300 students, the Shehr-e-Khaas Traders’ Body, Batmaloo Traders’ Association, and esteemed personalities including Zareef Ahmad Zareef Sahab.

The drive was conducted with the active support of Srinagar Police, especially SDPO Maharaj Gunj, Shri Junaid Wali (JKPS) with special logistical and intellectual support.

The flag-off ceremony began at Udu Bazaar, near Budshah Tomb, where students and dignitaries marched through Maharaj Gunj Market holding placards promoting cleanliness, sustainability, and civic responsibility.

The event culminated at MPML BHSS, where participants and dignitaries were honored with Certificates of Appreciation for their commitment to environmental stewardship.
