“I have informed the Hon’ble Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister about the situation. Relief and rescue operations are being carried out on priority,” LG Sinha said.

He said that the pilgrimage was suspended following a cloudburst near Ardhkuwari which triggered the incident, causing loss of lives and injuries. “I visited the hospital and met the injured pilgrims; their condition is stable. Identified bodies are being transported to their homes with due arrangements,” he added. (JKNS)
