Udhampur, Aug 8 (JKNS): In a major action against narcotics trade, Udhampur Police has attached assets worth nearly ₹10 lakh belonging to a notorious drug peddler, Vikrant Sharma, under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

In a significant action against drug trafficking.

Udhampur Police has attached property worth approximately ₹10 lakhs belonging to a local drug peddler namely Vikrant Sharma S/o Narinder Sharma R/o Ward No. 9, Chabutra Bazar, Udhampur, it reads.

The action has been taken under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 15/2025 registered at Police Station Rehambal under sections 8/21/22/27-A/29 of the NDPS Act, it reads.

The attached property includes, A J&K Bank account containing ₹7,17,118/-One Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle bearing registration number JK14J-0690, it reads.

Udhampur Police reiterates its firm commitment to eradicating the menace of drugs from the district and taking stringent action against drug peddlers, reads the statement. (JKNS)
