“As far as the reservation issue is concerned, the Cabinet Sub-Committee has completed its report. That report will be tabled in the Cabinet,” he said, adding, “Cabinet meetings are held twice a month,” CM Omar said.

He said, this month, no meeting has taken place yet, but one is scheduled in the coming days. Once the report is tabled, we will examine the recommendations and then decide on the next course of action.”

On Tuesday, Education Minister Sakina Masood Itoo in a post on X wrote, “The Cabinet Sub-Committee constituted to examine the issue of reservations has drafted its report within the stipulated timeframe of 6 months. The report will be placed before the Cabinet when it meets.”

The post from the minister saw massive criticism especially from students and opposition asking for the report and Cabinet meet date to be made public. (JKNS)
