Mission Director (HADP) conducted a daylong tour of District Baramulla

Baramulla/ 23-05-2025:- Mr. Sandeep Kumar (IFS), Mission Director, Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), today conducted an extensive tour of district baramulla. He was accompanied by Director Agriculture Kashmir Mohammad Alyas Khateeb, Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir Dr. Parwinder Singh Sudan, Director Sheep Husbandry Kashmir Dr. Rafiq Ahmad Shah and other sectoral heads of agriculture and allied departments.

During the visit Mission Director HADP inspected the oil extraction mill (with filter press) at Matipora, integrated mushroom unit at Johama, Vegetable farmers field at Palahalan Pattan, DCTC public sector at Baramulla and other infrastructures created under HADP.

While interacting with the officers and the beneficiaries Mission Director highlighted that the HADP is a comprehensive programme focusing on various aspects of Agriculture Development including horticulture, Crop Production and Livestock Husbandry. He said that HADP is a comprehensive initiative aimed at transforming the Agricultural landscape of Jammu and Kashmir including Kashmir division. He expressed keen interest in the functioning of different units and commended the department and the beneficiaries for their commendable efforts and emphasizes the potential impact in such initiatives in boosting rural livelihood and strengthening the socio-economic status of the farming community.
During the visit Director Agriculture Kashmir Mohammad Alyas Khateeb briefed the Mission Director regarding various farmer friendly initiatives under HADP and other farmer friendly schemes being taken up by the department for revival of the agriculture sector.
