Poonch, May 23 (JKNS): A team of the State Investigation Agency (SIA) from Jammu on Friday conducted a raids in Poonch.

Official sources told news agency JKNS raid were carried out at the residence of one Zameer Ahmed Sheikh, son of Abdul Majid Sheikh, originally a resident of village Saillan under Police Station Surankote and presently living on rent at Ward No. 03 near District Police Lines Poonch.

The raid was carried out in connection with FIR No. 01/2025 registered under sections 13, 18, 18B, 38 & 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) at the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) Jammu, they said.

“Further searches are likely to be conducted at several other locations across district Poonch as part of the ongoing investigation,” the sources said.

Authorities have placed certain locations under surveillance, and more developments are being closely monitored, they added. (JKNS)
