Kishtwar, May 22 (JKNS): One Indian Army soldier was killed in action during an intense gunfight with terrorists in the Singhpora area of the Chatroo in Kishtwar district.
In a post on X White Knight Corps as per news agency JKNS wrote, “During the ongoing operation, fierce gunfight is continuing. One of our #Bravehearts sustained grievous injuries in the exchange of fire and has succumbed despite best medical efforts. Operation is in progress.”
The operation was launched earlier following intelligence inputs suggesting the presence of 3-4 terrorists in the area. Security forces swiftly cordoned off the suspected hideout, leading to a fierce encounter.
Top police sources confirmed to JKNS that the operation is ongoing and additional reinforcements have been moved to the area to prevent any escape attempts. (JKNS)
