Traffic Halted on Jammu-Srinagar Highway After Mudslide in Ramban

Srinagar, May 2 (JKNS): Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) was suspended from both directions on Friday afternoon after a mudslide struck the Chamba Seri area of Ramban district.

Officials from the traffic department told news agency JKNS that due to the sudden landslip, vehicular movement has been completely stopped and road clearance operations are underway.

“Movement has been halted from both sides. Commuters are advised not to travel on NH-44 until the road is cleared,” official said.
