Anantnag, May 2 (JKNS): Nazakat Ali, the younger brother of the late Adil Hussain who was killed while heroically saving tourists during the recent terror attack in Pahalgam has officially joined the Waqf Board at the revered Ashmuqam Shrine in Anantnag on Friday.
The move was marked by the presence of Waqf Board Executive Officer Rafiq Wani and senior BJP leader Sofi Yousuf as per news agency JKNS.
Officials said the joining comes as a gesture to honor the sacrifice made by Adil Hussain and to support the bereaved family. “It is both an emotional and proud moment for us,” an official present on the occasion told JKNS.
Locals also appreciated the decision, saying it reflected recognition of bravery and public service. (JKNS)
