Dr Mukhtar urged people to stay away from streams, Nallahs, loose structures, and landslide-prone areas. “Stay inside safe shelters and avoid traveling,” he added.

The advisory comes amid inclement weather conditions across the Union Territory, where multiple regions have already witnessed heavy downpours, especially in Jammu division’s Ramban district where flash floods and landslides wreaked havoc earlier today.

Jammu and Kashmir has been witnessing intermittent rainfall for the past few days, with many areas affected by waterlogging, road blockades, and disruption to daily life. Authorities have advised the public to remain alert and follow safety protocols. (JKNS)
