Srinagar Police Launches Women Helpdesks, Safety Squad to Curb Harassment

Srinagar, Apr 14 (JKNS): Srinagar Police has set up Women Helpdesks and a Mobile Safety Squad to ensure swift action against harassment and eve-teasing in public spaces.

Police Spokesperson in a statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, Srinagar Police has instituted Women Helpdesks in Police Stations and Mobile Women Safety Squad for the protection of girls and women in public spaces with the aim to prevent and eliminate instances of harassment, even-teasing and unsolicited comments in such public spaces.

Women Helpdesk Helpline : 9596770601( WhatsApp ). 9596770602 ( Call ), PCR Helpline : 9596222551. Women Safety Squad : 7006740755, it reads.
