Kupwara: A police constable lost his life in a tragic road accident in the Machil area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday.
A senior police officer told news agency JKNS that a vehicle, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Machil.
As a result, Javeed Ahmad, a constable from the IRP Battalion, died on the spot, officer said.
Authorities said that a case has been registered, and investigations into the cause of the accident are underway. (JKNS)
