Meanwhile, at AGS Tithwal, 6 MAHAR (BORDERS) conducted a special World Health Day lecture for school children. The session addressed basic health issues, such as common ailments like cough, cold, and fever, and emphasized the importance of proper hydration, maintaining cleanliness in surroundings, avoiding water stagnation, and adopting healthy food habits. Students were also educated about lifestyle diseases like hypertension and diabetes, the significance of vaccinations, and the dangers of drug abuse. The session was well-received by the young audience and contributed significantly to spreading awareness about preventive healthcare.

In Tithwal, the Shaktivijay Brigade, in collaboration with NGO Usha International Ltd., launched a 15-day Tailoring and Embroidery Training Course at the Tithwal Community Development Centre (TCDC). Starting from April 7 and continuing till April 21, the course is designed to provide practical skills to local women, empowering them with the tools needed for self-employment and financial independence. Upon completion, participants will receive certificates that can help them start small businesses or gain employment in the garment industry. The initiative reflects a broader mission to foster women’s entrepreneurship and socio-economic development in remote regions.

Adding to the day’s significance, FSC ex 328 Field Hospital under 104 Brigade Tangdhar organized a health awareness lecture for civilians, ex-servicemen, and their dependents. A special OPD was also set up to address health concerns of the attendees. The session focused on commonly faced health problems, their prevention, and treatment options, and was attended by 40 individuals from the local area.

Together, these events reflect a comprehensive and compassionate approach to community health, youth awareness, and women empowerment, marking World Health Day 2025 as a milestone in strengthening grassroots development across the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
