SWD organises painting Competitions across educational institutes of Srinagar

SRINAGAR: The District Social Welfare Office, Srinagar successfully conducted a painting competition on drug abuse under the National Action Plan Drug Demand Reduction at Govt. Degree College for Women Nawakadal, Govt College Women M.A.Road, Amar Singh college, GGHSS Amira Kadal on 15 March, 2025 and Women`s College Batpora and GGHSS Kothibagh on 17 March, 2025.

About 700 students/ youth participated in said theme based competition. These activities imparted the message of harmful effects of drug abuse on the minds of students/youth.

This gesture reinforced the programme’s message of solidarity and determination to combat drug abuse

District Social Welfare Officer highlighted the importance of educational institutes in prevention of drug abuse among youth by inculcating good ethical and moral values through value based teaching to have a drug free society.
