Ganderbal, May 15: A labourer died after a cement plate fell on him during the construction work on Z-Morh tunnel in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Under-construction 6.5 km long road Z-Morh Tunnel will connect Kashmir with Ladakh round the year.
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a labourer came under a heavy cement plate leaving him grievously injured.
The labourer who was working with a Contractor in Gagangir area and whom police identified as Mushtaq Baniya, a resident of Gagangir Sonmarg was taken to Primary Health Centre Kullan where from he was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment.
They said the labourer succumbed to his injuries in Srinagar hospital.
