Karnah: Heavy snowfall in Budnamal, Keran, Sadhna Top, and Jumagund, along with other upper areas of Karnah, has severely affected normal life. The closure of roads due to snowfall has completely paralyzed the transport system, impacting not only the local population but also educational institutions.

With schools set to reopen after the winter break, students and teachers are expected to face significant challenges due to the current weather conditions. Traveling on difficult and snow-covered roads will be extremely challenging, especially for primary school children. Many teachers commute from different parts of the district headquarters, but due to blocked and inaccessible roads, reaching their schools on time seems impossible.

Local residents have expressed concerns that daily life has been disrupted due to snowfall, and reopening schools in these conditions may add to the difficulties faced by students. Several parents and local organizations have urged the administration to extend the winter break for primary schools by a few more days so that the weather conditions improve and the snow is cleared from the roads.

Education department officials have stated that they are closely monitoring the weather situation and will make appropriate decisions considering public difficulties. However, locals believe that if immediate measures are not taken, not only will students struggle, but the absence of teachers will also negatively impact the educational process.
