Kabul: At least 36 people have died and 40 others were injured in rain-related incidents throughout Afghanistan, Mullah Janan Saeq, the spokesman for the national disaster authority, said Wednesday.

More than 300 residential houses have been either completely or partially destroyed due to the disaster, the official said, noting that the flash floods have also swept away hundreds of acres of agricultural land.
