Karnah :A devastating fire broke out at a commercial bakery unit in Sulaiman Tangdhar, reportedly due to an electric short circuit, causing an estimated loss of ₹30 lakhs. The fire engulfed essential bakery machinery, including simple mixture, spiral mixture, planetary mixture, and roller machines. A mini attached store containing atta, ghee, butter, dalda, and bakery items was also reduced to ashes.

Karnah, a far-flung area, had its first big bakery unit, which was established through a subsidiary loan by the owner. The unit not only provided essential bakery products to the region but also supported several families, whose livelihoods depended on it. The fire has now left many people jobless, adding to the distress of the affected families.
