May 13: As a goodwill gesture and to remember the sacrifice of martyrs, Police distributed Eid gifts and sweets among the families of Police martyrs in Budgam and Handwara.
In Budgam, Police visited martyrs’ families and distributed Eid gifts among them. Officers from the district extended their heartfelt Eid wishes to the families of police martyrs and wished them happiness and success in their lives.
Similarly, Officers from the Police District Handwara led by SP Handwara Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS distributed sweets among the families of Police Martyrs who have laid down their lives in safeguarding the integrity of the nation and for the peace & stability of the valley. He was accompanied by SHO PS Handwara.
While interacting with the families of Police Martyrs Officers from the respective districts extended their warm greetings on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr and assured every possible support to them. They also enquired about the health and other welfare issues of NOKs and requested them to visit their offices for any kind of assistance at any time.
The families of martyrs expressed gratitude and their happiness for the police department for this kind and empathetic gesture.
