Bandipora: Bandipora Police attached residential land worth ₹52.5 lakhs belonging to a terror handler at Hilalabad Nesbal Sumbal on Monday
Police spokesperson in a statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, the property, measuring 2 Kanals and 7.5 Marlas, was attached under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The land, registered under Survey Nos. 898 (1.5 Marlas), 862 (7.75 Marlas), and 938 (1 Kanal 9.25 Marlas), was identified as proceeds of terrorism.
The property belongs to Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, son of Gh Mohiuddin Mir, a resident of Hilalabad Nesbal Sumbal, who is reportedly operating as a terror handler from Pakistan.
“The attachment was carried out after the individual was declared a proclaimed offender in connection with Case FIR No. 37/2024 under the UA(P) Act, IA Act, and E&IMCO Act of Police Station Pethkote,” statement reads.
This operation reaffirms the Bandipora Police’s commitment to combating terrorism and dismantling its financial networks, it reads.(JKNS)
