New Delhi: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday praised Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for putting all facts clearly on the misuse of Constitution during her maiden speech in the Lok Sabha during the discussion on the 75 years of Constitution.
Talking to the media after the speech, Kharge said, “Excellent speech, very good, all the facts she put before the government on how the Constitution is being misused and how they are not protecting the women, people of this country. We are very happy about her performance.”
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi too praised his sister, saying that “her maiden speech is better than my maiden speech”.
Robert Vadra too showered heaps of praises for his better half saying that, through her speech she raised the issue of the people and also the importance of the Constitution.
“Priyanka is raising their voice of the people. The people of the country are aware about how the government is working. She has been meeting people and have experience about their issues and she spoke the same in the House. She spoke about the importance of the Constitution and it is very important for us,” Vadra said.
It may be mentioned that Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, CPP chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Robert Vadra and his son were present in the lower house to watch Priyanka Gandhi’s speech.
