May 06: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Kulgam police along with Executive Magistrate destroyed Poppy cultivation in Pooniwa, Nowpora Frisal and other adjacent areas of District Kulgam.
Acting on specific information about cultivation of Poppy, Police party from Police Station Kulgam and PP Frisal along with Executive Magistrate under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Kulgam have destroyed the poppy cultivation spread over nearly about 12 Kanals of land in Pooniwa, Nowpora Frisal and other adjacent areas of District Kulgam.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.
Our consistent actions against such anti-social elements should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
