Jammu: Air India Express marked a significant milestone by beginning operations from Jammu, launching daily direct flights to the national capital, New Delhi, and Srinagar on Sunday.

These inaugural flights signify Jammu’s addition to the rapidly expanding Air India Express network, further strengthening the airline’s domestic connectivity.

The airline also commenced daily operations from Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) to Kolkata and Bengaluru today.

The first flight from Jammu to Srinagar took off at 12:40, followed by the inaugural Jammu to New Delhi flight at 15:45. The celebrations at Jammu Airport included decorated check-in counters, sweet distributions, and the ceremonial presentation of boarding cards to the first guests of both flights.

Similar celebrations were held at New Delhi and Srinagar airports to mark the inaugural Air India Express flights to Jammu from these stations, underscoring the airline’s commitment to connecting key destinations with enhanced services.

Effective December 1, 2024, Air India Express will operate daily flights on four key routes. The Jammu to Srinagar flight will depart at 12:40 PM and arrive at 1:40 PM, while the return flight from Srinagar to Jammu will leave at 2:15 PM and reach Jammu at 3:10 PM. On the Jammu to Delhi route, flights will depart at 3:45 PM and arrive in Delhi at 5:20 PM, with the return flight from Delhi to Jammu departing at 10:45 AM and arriving at 12:10 PM.

Recently, Air India Express announced a significant milestone as its network surpassed the 50-destination mark with the addition of Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, Dimapur, and Patna. This achievement reflects the airline’s rapid expansion, supported by its growing fleet, which now boasts 90 aircraft, with a new addition joining every week.
From Jammu: Air India Express operates 14 weekly flights from Jammu connecting directly to two domestic destinations including Delhi and Srinagar. Additionally, the airline provides one-stop connectivity to nine domestic destinations: Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune, and Surat and three international destination including Bahrain, Dammam, and Muscat.

From Srinagar: Air India Express operates 53 weekly flights from Srinagar connecting directly to three domestic destinations including Delhi, Hyderabad, and Jammu. Additionally, the airline provides one-stop connectivity to 18 domestic destinations: Ayodhya, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Goa, Guwahati, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune, Ranchi, Surat, Visakhapatnam and six international destination including Bahrain, Dammam, Jeddah, Muscat, and Sharjah.(KNS).
