Moscow: Saudi Arabia will host a joint Arab-Islamic summit to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon on Monday.
The heads of state and government and senior officials from the countries of the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, as well as Lebanon’s caretaker prime minister, Najib Mikati, are expected to attend the summit in Riyadh.
The Saudi capital also hosted a joint Arab-Islamic summit exactly a year ago. The leaders condemned Israeli aggression against Gaza, addressed the humanitarian catastrophe that it caused and reiterated their support for the Palestinians’ right to self-determination.
