SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 07: Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today instructed officers to execute “Whole of Government Approach” to reach the unreached in the tribal, remote and under-served areas of the district.
He issued these instructions while chairing a meeting at Mini Secretariat Shopian to review the measures for the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan (PM-RUGA).
The DC fixed department wise responsibilities and asked for preparation of development plans for the tribal areas.
The stress was laid on multi-disciplinary and convergence planning and execution thereof, targeting the different government schemes in a holistic way.
PM-RUGA envisions the comprehensive development of tribal areas and communities by addressing critical gaps in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and livelihoods.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone besides sectoral and district officers.
