KULGAM, OCTOBER 15: Acting swiftly on a specific complaint against medical shops at Mohammad pora, a team of Drug officials closed down two medical shops for non maintenance of records of Scheduled/ Narcotic drugs and have been found to flout the norms wrt conditions of licenses and Rules as per Drugs & Cosmetics Act.1940.

 

Time and again it has been reiterated to all chemists to strictly maintain Narcotic drug sale records and any discrepancy in the same is dealt with strictly given the propensity of misuse of habit forming drugs.

 

This exercise is a part of large scale drive initiated against the erring persons who indulge in such unscrupulous activities.

 

Earlier in the day one medical shop was closed down at Badragund Qazigund for violating the conditions of licenses.

 

20 Drug samples were also lifted from the area to ascertain their quality parameters and to ensure quality medicine reaches the end consumers.
