Interacts with land owners, listens to compensation issues, removes bottlenecks

 

SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 14: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today visited various areas of Shopian including Nowgam, Vehil, Awand, Dachpora, Sharadpora and Habdipora and interacted with the people of these villages with regard to land acquisition process for NH-444.

 

The National Highway-444 is an alternate Highway to NH-44. The steps required for removing the bottlenecks and compensation for land of people of these areas coming under land acquisition process was also discussed on the occasion while interacting with the people of these villages.

 

DDC heard the people of these areas patiently who also put forth their demands, including enhancement of land compensation and other issues of public importance. He assured for redressal of their issues within the fixed time frame.

 

He said that NH-444 has significant importance and sought the cooperation of the people in the fruitful execution of the vital project which will facilitate the improved connectivity for the local public. He assured redressal of all genuine issues and said district administration shall remain at the forefront at taking measures to provide maximum benefits to the people.

 

The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; ACR, Shopian, Shakoor Ahmed Dar; Tehsildar, Shopian and other revenue officers and officials.
