POONCH, Oct 04: Inter District UT Level Hockey tournament for Girls U14 and U19 declared open here today at Synthetic Hockey Ground ,Boys Higher Secondary School, Poonch under the patronage of Director YSS J&K UT Sh Rajinder Singh Tara JKAS.
Tournament was Inaugurated by SP Sh Sachin Gupta DYSP OPS Surankote, the tournament will be played for two days in which three teams in u14 and four teams in U19 category are participating.
The inaugural match was played between the teams of Jammu and Baramulla Under -19 Boys category. In Jammu beat Baramulla by 9-0 goals Supriya scored four goals and Anjali scored three goals while Komal, Kiran scored one goal each.
In the second match Pulwama beat Jammu by 2-0 goals in U14 category khansa Sajad and Toiba Javed scored one goal each for Pulwama
Earlier DYSSO Poonch Sh Mool Raj Uttam welcomed the guests and briefed about the event .While speaking on the occasion, the Chief guest motivated the young sports talent and asked them to play with full enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
Among others present on the occasion included Rupinder Kour Principal BHSS Poonch, Nirdosh Kumar Manager Sports Stadium Poonch , PremPrakash Luthra Retd DYSSO, Narjeet singh Rtd ZPEO, ZPEOs of all the zones and other field staff of YSS Department. Vijay Kumar PEM conducted the opening ceremony.
Tournament is being organised under the overall supervision of Mool Raj Uttam DYSSO Poonch and technically supervised by Narinder Singh ZPEO Poonch and Kulwant Singh SPEO Surankote whereas Harmik Singh acted as incharge technical committee.
Matches were officiated by Vikas Sharma, Ruchika Sharma, Ritika Sharma, Kavaldeep Singh, Mohd Shokat
