SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 15: The District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem today visited the Polling Staff Training Centre at the GDC Shopian to oversee the training sessions held for the polling personnel.
The sessions included briefings and demonstrations on EVM management and operations, conducting of mock polls and other related pre poll and poll days activities.
The master trainers highlighted the critical role of polling staff in upholding the credibility of the election.
The training, organised by Nodal Officer, Trainings was attended by all Polling staff including Presiding Officers, P1, P2, and P3 who were being trained on their specific roles and duties ahead of the upcoming General Assembly Elections.
During the orientation, the DEO stressed the importance of adherence to the ECI guidelines, ensuring that the polling staff are fully prepared for their responsibilities on both pre-poll and poll day.
The DEO directed the officers to work in close coordination with their Sector Magistrates to see the impactful culmination of elections.
He further urged the polling staff to maintain professionalism and impartiality throughout the election process, underscoring the importance of protecting the integrity of the election.
