PULWAMA, SEPTEMBER 15: In line with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the directives of the District Administration, Pulwama, a mega SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) event was successfully organized today at Block Headquarters Tral.

The program saw active participation from officers and officials of the Rural Development Department (RDD), the Social Forestry Department and the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of the area. Local residents also took part in large numbers, contributing to the event’s success.

A comprehensive speech was delivered, touching upon various aspects of the SVEEP initiative. Discussions were held to ensure that all elements of voter education and awareness were covered in depth, with a focus on ensuring informed, inclusive, and ethical electoral participation.

The event also featured cultural performances and other engaging programs to raise awareness about the importance of voting. Additionally, a plantation drive was conducted in collaboration with the Social Forestry Department, enhancing the green cover at the Block Headquarters.

The initiative reflects the ongoing efforts of the district administration to ensure widespread electoral participation in the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections of 2024, in line with the mission of free, fair and transparent elections.
