ATV Rally held in famous Tourist Resort Pahalgam to boost Voter Awareness
ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 15: In a spirited effort to enhance voter engagement and electoral awareness, the District Election Officer (DEO) Anantnag, Syeed Fakhruddin Hamid today flagged-off a mega SVEEP event in Pahalgam at the JKTDC club.
The programme saw the flag-off of All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) rally, cultural programmes, tug of war, pledge ceremony etc. The event, held at the scenic Pahalgam, aimed to capture the attention of the local populace through an engaging and educational programme to encourage informed participation in the upcoming Assembly elections of 2024.
Addressing the gathering, the DEO, emphasized the pivotal role of voter education in strengthening democracy. He exhorted people to vote in the upcoming elections to ensure a historic turnout.
Notably, the elections in Anantnag are scheduled to be held on 18th September. Anantnag has seven Assembly Constituencies and more than 60 candidates are in the electoral fray.
