Bandipora, Oct 28: District Police Bandipora conducted an Anti-Fidayeen Mock Drill in DPL campus to assess operational preparedness, inter-agency coordination, and emergency response mechanisms in the event of a simulated terrorist attack.
The exercise witnessed the participation of manpower from SOG Bandipora, DPL Bandipora, 3rd Battalion CRPF, 14 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), and 27 Assam Rifles, who jointly demonstrated coordinated response capabilities under a simulated emergency scenario.
During the exercise, four simulated terrorists were located in two under-construction buildings and neutralised as per the drill scenario.
Subsequently, the AST/BDS team conducted area sanitisation, assisted by a sniffer dog, to check for suspected explosive devices and other potential hazards.
The mock drill also assessed the medical response and casualty management mechanism, including the deployment of an ambulance and handling of simulated casualties.
The exercise concluded successfully after the premises were thoroughly searched, sanitised, and declared safe. A briefing and debriefing session was also conducted to review the performance of participating personnel and identify areas for further improvement.
The drill reaffirmed the commitment of District Police Bandipora and participating security agencies towards maintaining a high level of operational preparedness, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and ensuring an effective response to any security emergency.
