The initiative aimed to provide accessible healthcare and specialised medical services to residents of remote areas.

The camp received an overwhelming response, with 2,130 patients registered over the two days.

A team of medical specialists and healthcare professionals provided comprehensive medical services in general medicine, paediatrics, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, dental care, cardiac screening, respiratory care and ENT.

Special emphasis was placed on addressing the healthcare needs of women, children, senior citizens and economically disadvantaged families.

Free medicines were distributed to patients. Based on individual medical requirements, beneficiaries were also provided with essential assistive devices, including 150 each of cervical collars, knee caps and reading glasses, along with 100 walking sticks, 16 hearing aids and 10 wheelchairs.

The camp also promoted preventive healthcare awareness, facilitated the early identification of medical conditions and provided guidance on further treatment wherever required.

On October 18, 2026, Dr Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (PMO) and Member of Parliament from the Udhampur constituency, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

He interacted with medical professionals, beneficiaries and local residents and appreciated the Indian Army’s efforts to extend essential healthcare services to communities in remote areas.

The successful conclusion of the Mega Medical Camp reaffirms the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to serving remote communities, overcoming geographical barriers to healthcare access and strengthening its bond of trust with the local population.

Through Operation Sadbhavana, the Indian Army continues to translate compassion into action, contributing to a healthier, stronger and more resilient society.
