Budgam 18 Oct: President Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi, has strongly condemned the reported attack on a Jammu and Kashmir-registered passenger bus near Kurukshetra in Haryana, in which an elderly Kashmiri passenger was reportedly injured and several other passengers were left traumatised.

Expressing serious concern over reports of threats and harassment targeting Kashmiri travellers, Aga Hassan urged the Haryana Government and the concerned authorities to ensure the safety and security of passengers and take swift and strict legal action against those responsible.

He emphasised that no individual should face intimidation, harassment or violence on the basis of regional identity. He said that the safety, dignity and constitutional rights of Kashmiri travellers must be protected at all costs.

Aga Hassan called for a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident and urged the authorities to take appropriate measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

He stressed that every citizen has the right to travel freely and live with dignity and security anywhere in the country, adding that incidents of violence and intimidation must be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law.
